>>22717320I wouldn't really go that far - I DO use Stealth Rock on my Steelix. But yeah, sitting around "setting up" for more than one turn is stupid and just leaves you open half the time.
For instance, let's say I'm using my Raichu against a Sableye. Sableye goes mega, and starts off with one of the most common Mega Sableye moves.
I use Nasty Plot, going first because dat speed.
If they use Stealth Rock, they have accomplished nothing in their first turn, while I have 638 SpA ready to go.
If they use Taunt, it's too late, I have 638 SpA ready to go.
If they use Will-O'-Wisp or Toxic, they've negated Focus Sash, but I still have 638 SpA and 319 Spe.
I have destroyed so many fucking teams like this, it's not even remotely funny. The only times I've lost where when they went and actually attacked, usually with priority moves.
