>>22725867Just wanna point out: worry seed whimsicott = hard counter
switches effortlessly nto Dragon Pulse or Leaf Storm, nullifies Contrary before it can work next turn
+2 252+ SpA Serperior Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Whimsicott: 252-298 (77.7 - 91.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
even balks a +2 HP Fire if the opponent manages to predict it coming in/set up a turn before, worry seeds, then either Serperior is stuck being a shitmon again, or it switches out and Whimsicott can U-Turn away or set up Tailwind for its team, or even cripple a switch-in and prepare the team for a late-game clean-up with Memento.
If it manages to switch in on Dragon Pulse, it can Encore Serperior and then it's royally fucked (no pun intended).
If it decides to carry HP Poison purely to deal with Whimsicott, which is pants-on-head retarded, it gets walled and mauled by Heatran. Actually, it already gets walled and mauled by Heatran, but I just wanted to point that out for the person who inevitably suggests HP Poison Serperior is viable in OU.
Serperior also gets fucked by Skarmory, Talonflame, Goodra, Crobat, Heracross, Dragonite, Ferrothorn...
Basically its entire usefulness hinges on what Hidden Power it's running and how dumb your opponent decides to play. It has zero coverage so it relies on a 60 BP move to carry it to its throne of mediocrity. If Grass wasn't such a fuckawful type, and Flying wasn't so broken, maybe it would be viable in OU, but it isn't. I think it can find a niche in UU as a cleaner, or at the very least it'll rest nicely in BL2. But using it in OU is just folly.
