The music was nice, the updated art and personalities did wonders for the old villainous Teams, and Delta Episode was great, even if it's no replacement for Emerald features overall. Maybe it's just nostalgia, seeing Hoenn done is a much more enjoyable system, but there we are.
I'd have liked it even if there were no new Megas or Tutors. It was fun.
Not sure I'd call it "fantastic," but it was well worth the price. And hey, Pokemon games still hold their prices very well, so you can even resell it if you don't like it after playing through it once and using the tutors.
