It is shit in OU and mediocre in UU because it's fire- and water-land.
However, it's A+ rank in RU with its fellow ice type Mega Obama.
It's defnitely not nearly as bad as everyone initially assumed and that Refrigerate-boosted Explosion is often worth it but it's not like it NEEDS that to do its job.
Mega Glalie's biggest problem is being a mega. If it was a regular evolution it would easily be OU material. But the same can be said about most of them.

Everyone was hyped as fuck about Mega Camerupt when it was first revealed and it ended up being a NU shitmon, while Mega Glalie is a top RU threat and usable in the upper tiers.

It's actually quite decent in OU. Refrigerate double-edge hits really hard, plus Glalie's freeze-dry can 2 shot most water types. Sadly, it's just usually not worth the mega slot, especially when Mamoswine can hit almost as hard while having better typing/bulk and access to stealth rock.

Also, UU is stall city, so of course Glalie will struggle there. I still think people are sleeping on this thing. Wouldn't be the first time /vp/ was wrong about competitive matters.

Are you kidding? Absol is vicious. 115 speed, 150 attack, and 115 special attack with one of the largest movepools in the game, plus magic bounce? Yeah it's frail, but it's still dangerous as fuck. Dark is also a great attacking type, and Absol has the tools to deal with fairies and fighting types.

You're an idiot. It's as good as most UU megas in OU. It was only A+ in RU for a while because its main threats were weak to Ice (Sceptile, Serperior, Pidgeot).
M-Glalie is about as good as Froslass. It's decent enough.
I wish it had Hyper Voice, tho. Dat screaming demonic mouth.
