And as far as typings that would make sense consider Water/Bug Krabby, Kingler and Corphish (Crawdaunt keeps its type). Drowzee/Hypno Psychic/Dark.
Elekid/Electabuzz/Electivire Electric/Fighting, which is greatly supported by the movepool, which has more Fighting-moves than some actual Fighting types, and Electivire and Elekid look the part.
Meganium striked me as it could have been retconned as Grass/Fairy, Thyplosion line Fire/Ground and Croconaw + Feraligatr Water/Dark.
I find Psyduck and Golduck weird to not be part Psychic.
Grovyle and Sceptile as Grass/Dark would have maybe made sense, but at the same time maybe not.
Volbeat and Illumise could have worked part Electric no problem.
Dusknoir could have been what with it's multitude of punching moves actually part Fighting, and it looks the part.
Samurott could have been Water/Fighting with Secret Sword or Sacred Sword, it would have been perfect for it any way you look at it.
