Is there something inherent that makes Pokemon so popularity or is the fact the series is long and so many grew up with it?

Yeah, that's how Pokemon got popular in the first place, back in '98. It was around for so many years beforehand.

Personally, I picked the series up again in February 2014 after my last game was Emerald because of nostalgia. I'm sure that's the main reason lots of others have kept playing as well.

The really sad thing is that a show that came out 5 years ago and features no human designs has about 75% of the porn that Pokemon has.
