I'm putting the information here because I have come to /vp/ before, it's anonymous and I don't have to make an account or fake e-mail. I don't work for any branch of Nintendo, so this is second hand information. Although it is new to me, it could also be somewhat dated. I won't post anything related again, so don't believe any future people pretending to be affiliated with this post. I'm saying that because it was obvious with the Smash leaks that people can confuse the facts easily.
>Two new Pokémon games
In development by the core Game Freak team, with some help from and outside source.
>New "Generation"
Which means new Pokémon, region, mechanics and everything that comes along with a new generation.
>Different consoles
Instead of the more traditional route of creating two games for handheld to be released at the same time, they are trying something different. The two related versions will be for the New 3DS and Wii U inspired by Super Smash Bros.' recent success launching on both platforms. There will be more differences between the two versions in order to entice people into buying both instead of just one or the other. However, each game can be played separately and there are no requirements to own both.
>No cross-buy
Again, for incentive to buy both games, they will not have any cross-buy options like certain PS games or the recent Mario vs. Donkey Kong. However, we all know, they will most likely offer additional bonuses if you do own both.
>Engines
The New 3DS version will use a slightly updated XY/ORAS engine, but the game will look closer to the Wii U version in style.
>Amiibos
Both games will support these in a big way, and is part of the reason the 3DS version is New 3DS exclusive.
>Announcement/Release
The games are set to be announced this year but will likely not release in 2015.
