They've got a very... insistent subject matter, so they tend to not really get into the more troll and shitpost attracting topics and subjects. They just want their porn.
It's why, even though /tg/ is a cool board most of the time, they have the best thread caps and filename threads bar none, they also get the hardest to read sometimes because they will also argue about real world nonsense for hundreds of posts.
/vp/ I find more "tolerable" on average because people are usually arguing about stupid, pointless videogame stuff. So even when arguments rage on, they're less annoying simply for being something divorced from real life. Similar to /gif/ the subject matter tends to be so overpowering, the really toxic stuff rarely shows up.
Except for that recent doxx on one of the guys from Sage./co/ can still be love, sometimes, but their Monty Oum obituary thread was fucking disgusting in a lot of ways that are not uncommon for the board. The sheer amount of stupid and hate was a little unusual, though. I think some anons feel like they need to prove /co/ isn't tumblr, and just end up posturing too much.
I also go to /toy/, but only for the
Bionicle Threads so I've rarely encountered the true nature of the board.
/m/ is still pretty cool, but slow as fuck. Probably better than average due to its low population.
