I don't see it happening considering Game Freak always sticks to the original handheld of a generation. Only exception was Crystal but things could change I guess, they'll probably do it for gen 7 but definitely not gen 6.

Both Z or X2/Y2 and the New 3DS are going to be seen as unneccesary and expensive upgrades to things most people already have.

It's no different from the original "Wii U = upgrade" commercial, except this time it's actually true.

Same here.. I actually borrowed the money from a friend to get it replaced and paid them back bit by bit since im a poorfag.

LITERALLY the month I made my last payment, they announced the New 3DS. Fuck Nintendo.

Historically, third versions, remakes, and sequels perform much worse than entirely new gens; usually taking in about half as many sales.

If Nintendo really wanted to push pokemon to market the nN3DS, they would wait until Gen VII.
