I like this concept of subspecies. Those he made are kinda silly, but it could be used in an interesting way.

The Pros are that we could solve some Pokemons that need minor stats ajustments and have another chance to change it's ability to something actually decent.

The Cons are that GF will probably make powerfull almost unobtainable forms and jew it.

Eh. I feel like variations should and will be touched on eventually.
The anime touched on this with Orange Island variations.

Then we have existing Pokemon like Shellos and Gastrodon, And the Meowstic line.

So existing Pokemon with different appearances and stat distributions aren't out of the question, I'm sure.

I think the idea of it is actually cool, it would probably just be difficult to implement to the extent the artist is going for. It makes sense that different species would have developed for different environments over the years.

There's Gastrodon, but from what I know it's purely aesthetic.

I don't know why you're so angry about this OP. As a matter of fact, I think it's a pretty cool idea that would work well in the games if it were implemented a little differently. I get where the creator is going with some of these subspecies, like the ones that were bred by humans through selective breeding. We did it with dogs, why couldn't it be done with Pokemon?

Currently going through this with a friend of mine. Used to tell dirty jokes and was pretty much the funniest person I knew. You know, this is actually a pretty fun sounding idea.

The concept of subspeicies would allow for a far more diverse field of pokemon with very slight base stat( like a difference of 5 points on a stat or two at the most, generally keeping the bst the same), and and moveset alterations in a few rare instances. It would be especially cool if certain subspecies are not able to be found int he wild and can only be found through some experimental breeding.

Shame it'll never be implemented, we're in way too deep with 720 speices. Even if legendary pokemon didn't get subspecies, it would still be an absurd amount, especially if you were to make multiple subspecies.

It could possibly work well in a fangame. Select 50 or so different evolution lines, and go from there.
As much as they're not my favorite games, it'd work well in a gen 2-esque environment, where you can find the same Pokemon in the two regions differing slightly.

I don't see what's so bad about the OP idea. It's basically just tweaking designs to make them based on slightly different animal or plant species while still remaining pretty similar to their original form.
