I'd say Jasmine too, just because of how iconic her Steelix is. Everyone else has wonky ass teams, but Gen 1 was kind of the same way too with Ghost and Dragon E4 members when there was literally only one evolution line to choose from in the first place.

I remember Will because I used to play Crystal all the time when I was younger.
I remember Lucian because he was pretty difficult when I first challenged him I remember him for his Bronzong really.
I remember Marshal because he's that one black guy.
I remember Siebold's design but forget his name, his frilly collar just reminds me of Froakie
Bertha is literally who though, I only know her name because I saw it in the thread.

When I saw Siebold's name, I remembered that as soon as I seen it.

I agree with anon. I see where you're coming from, but let me try to articulate this correctly.

A design that does something crazy or unique can be done in a way that's memorable and sits in, or a boring way. When I think of Willstrom, it reminds me of old timey Shakesperian shit which is itself pretty boring, his expression and seemingly balding head makes him look dull almost like Toby from the office, and I just don't find him engaging. There are no other suit of armor guys or anachronistic characters, but that's not what I remember him by--I remember him as "that one they did something weird with".

It's like fakemon where, for example, they make the grass starter a lizard or wolf and then add Sparks and foliage everywhere and metal plating and shit and make it grass/electric. Yes, it's different and crazy, but also uninspired and generic.

Or imagine a Yugioh monster that's just a huge powerful mega dragon. I mean it's a huge powerful mega dragon, but it doesn't have a characteristic that just sticks with you.

In the end, it's just a personal thing. I don't think Wilkstrom is an in creative character and I get why people like him, but I'm not one of them

Fair enough. I spent a lot of time in the Battle Chateau, where you can sometimes battle Wikstrom and he'll sometimes give you a Big Nugget or someshit after you beat him. When he does, he comes up with some big spiel about how it's a treasure that's been handed down through the ages ever since the long past days of yore when he found it somewhere like a week ago.
It made him seem more like "The Bard temporally displaced in the Pokemon world" instead of just "some knight temporally displaced in the Pokemon world". Like early drafts probably named him Wobblepike or something.
Really hope Zygarde edition expands on him, and how he didn't drink himself to death on his 50th birthday in this universe.

Of Gen 2 Will, since Karen has the Karenfag thing and Bruno and Koga appeared in Gen 1.
Gen 3's are all forgetable unless you were me and played it lots of times. I'd say Glacia es the most forgetable since her design is the most boring. ORAS didnt help much.

Of Gen 4 is between Aaron and Lucian since Bertha can be headcanoned into being related to Agatha and Flint appears later.

In Gen 5 all are good since they actually have some personality, I'd say Grimsley is the most forgettable.

Of Gen 6 only Malva has something going for her.

I wish they did more with the Elite 4, although I guess they are supposed to be this misterous good trainers you only meet if you're good.

I find the entire Sinnoh E4 to be among the most memorable, actually. Maybe it's because they actually bothered to show them all in the anime. Flint even got like five episodes.

Aside from Lance and Ronald Mc Donald, all of the E4 are pretty forgettable to me.

Gen I: Really no one, Agatha is the one with the lest exposure though.
Gen II: Gotta say Will, despite the fact I love him.
Gen III: Phoebe. People says it's Glacia but I'll never forget her Sheer Cold luck.
Gen IV: Lucian or Aaron.
Gen V: Shauntal or Grimsley. It's the generation with most exposure to NPCs and those got nada.
Gen VI: Drasna. Siebold got anime exposure, Wikstrom is too hot and Malva had something going on outside the league.

Sinnoh's Elite 4 showed up in the anime without being split apart through different arcs (Bruno showed up in Indigo, Lorelei had a name change due to syllables and shit but showed up at the Orange Islands, Lance was in Johto and Agatha showed up in Kanto AFTER Ash came back from Hoenn)
