HGSS captures the atmosphere perfectly using its graphics.

The shadows were horrid in X/Y though, at the very least.

There's only a shadow texture under the player in OR/AS, but it doesn't look too bad.

Latest game has the best graphics. So, the answer to the question is Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire and X/Y.

Also, 3D models are better than sprites every single day of the week.

A couple moves have a little extra *~razzle dazzle~* in ORAS compared to XY, like Flamethrower , Surf, & Hidden Power. Throwing balls involves glitter glitter now.
