In terms of mechanics? No, because TES has horrible gameplay.

In terms of story tone? No, because I like Pokemon being superficially lighthearted and approachable for anyone.

Why don't you just make some time to play MegaTen instead?

When will Square Enix finally buy Pokemon

They clearly know how to make a JRPG better than Gamefreak and maybe we'd get actually characters, world story, real growth/development or even a real event in the characters lives. Sure, it would take on some of the edgier or more "mature" (emphasis on the quotes) aspects of some of the Final Fantasy games. Slew of problems, but i am sure there'd be more benefits

sometimes edgy super dark fags, but better than "NO DAD TIME TO ADVENTURE"

Yes, and I'm pretty sure Daggerfall had no mountains.
It had a kickass spell creation system thou, I'd love to see that implemented again.
