a lot of those aren't near as bad in doubles, even good. (except for ampharos, glalie, steelix, audino, and latios). In fact abomasnow and camerupt are really really good in doubles, with trick room support. Steelix in trick room doubles with sand support is do-able but super not worth it

1. Banette. No questions about it, it's absolute garbage.
2. Audino.
3. Steelix.
4. Abomasnow.
5. Glalie - this is where "bad" megas end, Glalie is merely "mediocre"
6. Absol - paper-thin bulk prevents it from even countering hazard-setters
7. Aggron / Blastoise - nowhere near bad, but somewhat lacking
9. Camerupt - this is a 50/50 case. It's a monster in trick room, but putting it to good use is very difficult. Hilariously enough it's actually better in OU than lower tiers due to omnipresence of Steel-type walls.
10. Ampharos - similar case, except it's usable outside TR.

Pidgeot on your list is some very bad joke, it's a very good U-turn user, even in OU. Garchomp and Latios are not worse than their base forms, but are hard to fit on teams due to demand for mega slots.

Only good starter was Turtwig. Any starter I raise on my teams are still my bros, though and they gave Sinnoh far more challenge. Grass line is awesome, but overpowered. Sinnoh is only good in terms of locations and music. It's shit in gameplay and the Pokedex is the worst in history. Hoenn I hated in terms of geography, but I loved so many of the new Pokemon.

I agree with you, Pidgeot has few options but the ones it has are pretty effective. As it is now, it's not the best choice but it's still a decent Mega. I only fear that as time goes by, more Megas will arrive to overshadow it and it won't get any new moves to help it keep up, pushing it further back into obscurity. It is a huge improvement on the base form, and is surprisingly useful, but the future is grim unless it gets some coverage and tricks.
