So in all of Kanto's history there hasn't been an Eevee that evolved from happiness or love? Does this mean eevees there are miserable and/or forced to evolve early?

The shit about Houndour and Murkrows is hilarious, because those are exclusive to Kanto in the Johto-games. Hoothoots... might have migrated over Kanto in Gen2/Gen4 games but with Houndour and Murkrow there's no excuse, those must have been there from the get-go as they don't actually appear in Johto itself.

Didn't Gen 4 introduce like 5 fire types?

Three of them being Infernape line. Man, I played first time though with Fire starter so didn't get what the big deal was, but it seemed Rapidash was the only choice for everyone.

The Infernape line, Magmortar, which couldn't be obtained until post game, and Heatran, which also was post-game only.
I think Rapidash, Flareon and Houndoom were the only available in the game before beating the E4, none of them Sinnoh exclusive

Why are people so fucking stupid in this thread? New pokemon are discovered all the time. The same way new species of animals are discovered in the real world. Go to an expedition in a rain forest and you will come out with a new species just from a clump of dirt.

Sometimes I see nature documentaries and they say shit like: "this is the first time a white crow has been seen giving birth".

They still have trouble making pandas breed. They will learn new things about pokemon all the time. New moves, new evolutions, new pokemon.

If we're going to jump through hoops to justify their existence in Kanto... they could have been imported from Sinnoh (Route214 IIRC) and at somepoint in the years between Gen1 and Gen2 a feral population showed up outside Celadon.

I mean, 3 years seems like a very short time for the amount of strays in the region to be as high as it was, but I've seen what you guys do with imperfect baby pokemon so it could have been just one asshole in the gamefreak labs or a gambler in the game corner who REALLY REALLY wanted a shiny.
