As far as no new megas go, I'd "fix" Flygon by:

Mega-wise:

It only needs Dragon Dance and nothing else.
If it got a mega the only sensible typings for it are Ground/Dragon and Steel/Dragon.

Steel/Dragon? How does that make any sense? Ground/Dragon, Ground/Bug, and Bug/Dragon make sense. Even the ability Tinted Lens fits it's design.

I'm kind of tempted to get ORAS just because Pidgeot was such a bro in gen 1 and it would be nice to use him now that he's useful.

I'd imagine it wouldn't, I mean as long as it doesn't hit the eye underneath the lens. They're like glasses covering the eyes so it can have it's eyes open in strong sandstorms.
