Seems like there are too many changes compared to the base game.
I like the implementation of secondary effect points, but is there really any reason to run low BP moves like Flamethrower over Fire Blast now?

That's what these guys are missing. High power moves have the downside that they might miss and do nothing, as a tradeoff for their high power. What they're actually doing here is unbalancing matters.

More importantly, what about the rng involved in additional effects to attacks? Does Fire Blast cause a burn 100% of the time? Does Ancient Power boost all your stats 100% of the time?

Also, the formula he used to adjust BP is retarded, as now their is no reason except weather teams to run those high powered low accuracy counterparts, like thunder and blizzard. Ice beam now outdamages blizzard, has higher pp, and same secondary points.

I was speaking more about Hydro Pump and Thunder, but I used Blizzard as example because it's closer to thunder.

Surf is literally better in every way than hydro pump in this meta

Looks like fun, definitely more unique and engaging than some of the older ones. I've seen some others being brought up in the OM chat on PS but they either just end at being an idea or debunked immediately.

All the time i've spent lurking the OM chat, i've seen some cool ones suggested and some really stupid ones.

Look at all of the shit the game goes through before that point, though. It seems like the odds of both teams having exactly the same total speed whether they have the same number of mons left or not would be astronomically low.

That would be more retarded than a coin flip. Just because the server got one players response first doesn't even necessarily mean that they moved first. A system like that could favor you based on what kind of service you have or whether you're on PC or mobile or even if you are somehow physically impaired. With all the stipulations for even getting into this incredibly unlikely scenario it's rarely if ever even going to happen - it almost requires two players to be playing exactly identical teams with exactly identical builds - but if it does it shouldn't come down to whether you have fios or boost mobile network. It's a turn based game, we should at least keep that aspect of it consistent.
