Skylanders are timed IIRC. Thanks to Nintendo doing store exclusives Amiibos like Lucario, Shulk, Meta Knight and Rosalina are near impossible to find without overpaying.

You are most likely only seeing Mario, Link, Zelda, Luigi, Kirby, Pikachu, Fox, Peach, Samus, and Donkey Kong amiibos. Any other amiibo not mentioned is basically really rare just because of the amount they made. More or less, the only way you will be getting the other amiios is if you buy them online or pre order them.

btw i typed in amiibo on google and first result is a >kotaku article saying there will be a gold mario amiibo

They're pretty damn high quality figures for only $12.99 or cheaper if you get them on sale.

The only derpy ones are Marth and to a lesser degree, Shulk. The rest are simply fantastic when it comes to quality.

Pokken might. The arcade version can make use of NFC cards that were given out on 1/29, 1/30, and 2/1. Once it comes to console, I could see them making a line of Amiibo.

Yes, but not in a significant way.
I'm starting to doubt any game will ever use them in a significant way, outside that steampunk game nobody wants.

And with the whole "We're replacing them with cards" fiasco, im getting the impression Nintendo regrets even making them in the first place.
