Honestly, for those of us who aren't really interested in shipping or how cute the main girl is, XY is probably the most boring series yet. I mean, nothing is really happening. Filler and filler and then a gym battle every few months. No big sub-plots going on to hold interest between the gyms. No flare, no real rivals for either character, no anime only side characters like Hunter J, and Tripokalons aren't really that fun since there's no battles. There's no cool battle tournaments like there was in BW either. At the moment, XY is just really... uneventful. I just wish the writers would give the series some more effort.
