I couldn't resist using my event Mew in HGSS when I got it.

The only time I used an event legendary on my in game team (to beat the game with) was Genesect for White 2, and that Victini from Liberty Island in White. If I recall, all the other ones came out after I already went and beat whichever game was most recent, and I wasn't able to get the Draco Meteor Jirachi.

Just give it random IVs instead of shit ones, and don't EV train it until the postgame. And I guess no Gracidea or whatever if you're that self-conscious.

I'm doing my third run of OR with AZ's Floette to see how good it is.

I usually have enough normal pokemon in my team to not even consider using legendary ones, not that I have anything against them.

Since like several years ago I consider that using legends is kind of cheap, but it depends on the game and legend. Using the cover legend in BW1 is acceptable since the story demands it. I used Mew on my 3rd Red file.

Why is it cheap? Normal in-game Pokemon like Garchomp, Nidoking, and Electivire are way better for a playthrough than a lot of legendaries.

Suicune is a part of my team in crystal and lugia is in my gold team. Along with the lugia in my XD team. And i use a level 100 kyogre in my emerald to help catch pokemon. So im not opposed to it.

I use any Pokemon as long as it fits into what I want to use for that run of the game. The problem with a lot of legendary Pokemon is that they come way too late most of the time and by the time they do I already have a team planned out and fulfilled. Aside from that I have used them before in my playthroughs yes. Legendary Pokemon are the shit.

Yes. Though only on my first run of the game. On consecutive runs I seldom use them unless I'm doing something that gives me them (such as getting a team from wonder trade or using a randomly generated team).

I pretend like I don't do it out of honor because it's cheap, but this is my actual reason. I don't even feel real attachment to my Pokemon team, I just pretend my character does, so he wouldn't ditch one for a strong Legendary.

In my mind, one of the large differences is that you have to WORK for those strong pokemon. You have to train them, get them to a certain level, use evo items, sometimes trade them, etc. (and if you're breeding for IVs then obviously it's a lot of work).

Whereas you sort of just GET legendary pokemon. Either you catch them and they're already strong, or they're just GIVEN to you and they're already strong. If I'm gonna have a beatstick, I want it to be one I earned.

Not event legendaries, but I did use Giratina in Platinum. It probably has shit IVs, because the game was still a challenge. Dat Lv. 47 just dares you to add it to your Platinum team.

This pretty much, I didn't like any of the fire pokemon in gen V so I just used the event Victini during my initial run of Black (I build my game beating team the same way they built Blue's champion team from gen 1) and the little bugger grew on me, he's in my top 3 favourite legendaries.
