Most people that post negatively about Smogon don't play their rules in the first place, or have stopped playing their rules in favor of official rules. So if I don't play OU anymore and don't have experience in the current meta, why in the fuck would it mean anything that I can beaten by someone who does?

In the same way, it's like thinking that a VGC player beating an OU player in VGC rules means anything.

I did not say they are bad or can't play Pokemon. The point being made here is that beating people at your own rules shouldn't be treated as the be all and end all of who is "right" because that makes no sense. There is also way more to a format than just the Pokemon allowed, again tell me why it would mean anything that a doubles player could beat a singles player at doubles for example?
