To answer your question, OP, I don't really hate her, but I can't say i love her.
I thought her attitude was somehow irresponsible. I mean, her whole speech about a parallel world that could be destroyed while ours is saved could as well be some insane mumbo jumbo spewed from a crazy mind. Let's face it, she's taking her role with such a zeal, she could have developed her own twisted version of the whole thing, blindly following it and rejecting everything that contradicts her.
Why should we care about a world that we'll probably never visit, care about people we'll probably never know? It's a well known fact that you have to make few sacrifices if your cause is great or justified. It's better to kill a hundred or a thousand people to save millions or billions.
In order to save a hypothetical world, she almost got her own world destroyed, killing billions and herself in the process, when Rayquaza rejected her, if it wasn't for the protagonist wielding the McGuffin. All because of her selfishness, stubbornness and rudeness.
This is why I don't really like Zinnia. And don't get me started on that hogwash about Aster being her "daughter". Localized version (be it English, French, German or whatever) are "canon" only to those who speak the language, and that's quite far-fetched. Like I said, Zinnia have bats in her belfry (just look at her fighting stance and eyes), so it could be just some insane bullshit her demented mind made up. Think of her as some crazy cat lady-like person.
