>>22857315The Frontier was the whole reason I wanted ORAS. The story I agree is improved from RSE, the music is hit-and-miss, some of the game is dumbed down, and I hate what they did to some areas. Route 113's ash gimmick was ruined (they even got rid of the huff puff), the Safari Zone is a glorified route, and there's no excusing Mallville.
It's better than XY, but after I beat the story and played through the Delta episode (which I didn't like at all, it was mostly just running around and I hate Zinnia's personality and the fact that she's probably going to be shoved into every game the way Looker is), there was nothing to do at all, and the main game I only enjoyed because I gave myself deliberate handicaps (no Exp. Share or Amie, no gift Pokémon other than my first starter, things like that) so I didn't completely plow through it like cutting through hot butter like I did with XY. It's a subpar experience compared to Emerald in all aspects but the improved story and a couple gimmicks like Dexnav and soaring that, while they were nice to have, I am not getting attached to in the slightest because I know they'll be gone by Gen VII.
