That would be an interesting feature, if not-fully-evolved mons would get megas while full versions would not. It would add some variety to the game.

Honestly, this is going to keep happening and I'm okay with that.
We're encroaching on a thousand of the fucks in a gen or two otherwise. We don't need even 100 new mons a gen now. Frankly, it's a good excuse to give older mons a look over, and I don't just mean giving them Megas.

The problem is that Megas are the hot new thing and they're not going anywhere, so that's where Game Freak is going to focus their attention on "fixing" old mons. And let's be honest, they're doing a pretty shitty job of that:

>megas for ubers
>megas that can hold items
>primals for ubers that can be used on the same team as megas
>megas that are worse than the base mon
>megas for shitmons, but they're stupidly broken instead of merely being viable
>1:1 ratio of megas to new pokemon assuming z has at least as many as oras
>no cross-gen evos for anything not named eevee, meaning some 1 or 2-stage shitmons couldn't even be saved with a mega because +100 BST isn't nearly enough

Yeah, some mons got stat boosts (wow, 10 FUCKING POINTS, PROBLEM SOLVED GUYS) and movepool buffs, but we still have turds like Ledian and Unown that will always be useless. If they're not going to fix the old shit, then I'd rather have more new shit to play with.

Honestly, I don't get why there's an issue with stuff like Unown being forever shit.

Not everything needs to be usable. At least Unown has the justification that it's basically lore. Which is something I wouldn't mind having more tbh.

As if this was bad. I really liked the exploration to find the legendaries in the older games. If they want back to adding things like the old Sky Pillar or the kanto bird trio I wouldn't mind how many they added.

Digimon evolutions are permanant.
The ones on the TV show with human partners just get to jump in power level temporarily, while all other digimon have to work really hard to naturally evolve.

Even so, there's a ton of digimon, and their evolution trees are non linear.
