It was just above average since it had some key resistances (mainly as a check on the actually OP Water type), and because, like Normal, very little resisted it. If it was a problem, all you needed to do was buff Ice type.
>Viable FairiesTry Dragons. There are more Fairies in OU than there are Dragons. If you remove the Legendaries (which you fucking should, they're all 600+ BST and purposefully broken), there are only 2 OU Dragons. Meanwhile Azumarill, Sylveon, Gardevoir, and Clefable are walking all over everything in OU.
Out of all of the recent additions to the OU banlist, only 1 was a Dragon. 3 were Steel type, 1 was Water, 1 was Normal, and 2 were Fighting. Not even mega-legendary-Dragons got banned. The type is not, and was not broken.
Of course, I would never expect someone who likes Fairy types to understand statistics or logic.
