A new anime is released about the daily lives of Pokemon working, playing and living like humans.

They talk, go to school, drive cars and go shopping. Would you watch it?

Sounds interesting actually I would probably watch it for a few episodes, Although I'd much rather prefer something like a Nat Geographic kind of show, Pokemon Labs go out into the wild and investigate the daily lives of Pokemon, and the Pokemon in the wild act like actual animals, or how whatever species it is would act.

Maybe give the wild Pokemon slightly differing designs then the ones we normally see.

probably not, it'd be funny as a one-time parody episode or something but I think it'd be a lot more interesting (and it'd take more effort on part of the writer) to show Pokemon in their natural habitats and such.
I always really loved that one anime episode where Pikachu and co. are stranded on an island and you find out Ekans and Koffing are actually pretty cool guys.

It would probably be better without humans, since that way the Pokémon could assume the working roles the humans would otherwise have.

That or just have the anime as is, but let the Pokémon speak amongst themselves through subtitles. The Pokémon should be treated as recurring characters in their own right, not muted creatures that do nothing but squawk their own names and follow orders.
Seriously, that early episode with the giant Pokémon where Ash's Pokémon discuss him and their loyalties is still one of the greatest moments over the whole series. We need more of that.

anime handles this well with the protagonists' mons; can recall their personalities easily

and >>22863613 mentioned. Charizard being disobedient and Aipom being cheeky are not personality traits at all - just things that any animals would do. There's no concrete intelligence shown behind their actions.

And to answer your question; I'd rather be interested in a series of how the Pokemon World differs from the proper world, how history, culture, and fiction in general are affected by these giant super-powered lapdogs. A History of the Pokemon world would be the kinda shit I would walk to the ends of the Earth to find.
What kind of Pokemon did Ghandi or Malcolm X have? Who founded the Pokemon League? Was there a point in history where Pokemon were seen as our superiors? Shit like that would be worth more money than I could ever imagine.

Anybody? The main 'mons I can remember were Clefairy, Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur. Red was their trainer, and there was also a doctor or professor that wasn't canon to the games and anime
