Very repetitive and pokemon gathering can be annoying as fuck. I personally enjoyed it but I definitely wouldn't claim it to be that great.

Do you seriously even need to ask this?

It was alright. To me Pokemon always seemed like it would make more sense as a tactical RPG but they made it way too simplistic so it was just really bland.

I dunno, I played Shining Force and SRW like crazy when I was a kid and had no real issues, so I don't get why they're so scared of adding even little bit of complexity.
