Wi-fi Mystery Gift was such a good feature! I just wonder why they leave it in if they don't ever plan on using it again.

Pokémon from the gen should all be available ingame, I don't know why we need special unlock events that mean anyone who get the game later on are literally unable to get that pokemon. Downloading event pokemon through mystery gift was a kind of stupid patch with the similar issues but was more accessable. there should be some legendary thing you can unlock like the delta episode for legendary pokemon, not just go to the mall and get a free god of the universe just to fill that empty spot in your pokedex

Mystery Gift worked best during gen IV, when they actually distributed really cool shit like Darkrai, Shaymin and the Crown beasts over regular WiFi.
Unfortunately it didn't work that we'll with muh promotions.

Severely underwhelming, though. HA Pokémon are really shitty mystery gifts, even if they've been unreleased until now. I'm pretty sure most people aren't that set on using them, anyways, and they don't add anything to your Pokédex. HA Pokémon should just be included in the regular game or via friend safari or something,and mystery gifts should be used for event pokemon. After all, in BW you got things like Mewtwo, Victini, Darkrai etc. via wi-fi.
