Tiers are subjective. The people I know who have mostly come up with our own "tiers" but its mostly "you are going to have a harder time using this against higher tier pokes", not "this Pokemon/item/move/ability is too OP for this tier"

Just because something isn't on OU doesn't make it bad. 90% of pokes probably have never been tested by smogon, or anyone. Almost every Pokemon that doesn't have the gimmick of "it's supposed to be shit"(magikarp, baby evos, unown, etc) can be run. People just flock to whatever smogon posts, even /vp/. Coming up with your own tiers with 20-odd bros based off just fucking around with various team options. Sure if something sticks out as good early on it will probably become overused. Obscure shit never gets tested so it gets ignored. Higher usage=/=better, especially when fucking pachirisu wins VGCs

I miss Mega Mawile. Now it's hard to find physical fairy types when I need one because I hate Azumarill for irrational reasons and Slurpuff just doesn't get the job done. On an unrelated note, I wish Diancie learned
lay Rough. I think the current Metagame could candle Mega Mawile just fine, since Willowisp is still a fairly common move and it has plwenty of checks. Hell, you can trap and kill it with Magnezone now that freaking everyone runs it.

Aegislash could probably come down too. Yeah, it's really, really good, but Lopunny shits all over it, and so does Mandibuzz. Also, it's really fucking fin to use, and I actually like 50/50's and prediction. They add drama to the game and make it so that bad players can get lucky and win sometimes, which sound uncompetitive, but I believe bad players should get to win occasionally because if you lose every game, you probably aren't having fun and are going to quit.

Lastly, I think Deoxys defense could be unbanned because he' not actually that good. If you're spewing hazards, Skarmory has a better defensive typing. If you want a specially defensive guy, Chansey is better. If you want a physically defensive guy, again, see Skarmory and Mandibuzz. Hell, if you just want a defensive psychic type, you can use Latias and that's still better since it gets Defog and can keep an offensive presence.

Banning Aegislash was a double-edged sword (hue) for Smogon. On one hand a ton of shit was made highly viable, but on the other ORAS unleashed a ton of stupidly good offensive megas that can't be all checked at once with a team of six Pokemon without Aegislash. Now they will be forced to change their previously established ban policy and get rid of a bunch of strong megas that are not broken by themselves and merely contribute to the matchup-reliant meta. But going back to "Aegislash on every single team" times is not a better alternative.
The real problem is that Ubers is so overcentralized by P-Groudon and M-Salamence at the moment that none of the top OU megas bar Diancie (shits on both of them) could possibly find any use there. If you ask me, the best possible solution would be sending the top quarter or so of Ubers to AG and then send the top quarter of OU (mostly good megas and legendaries) to Ubers.
