Trying to make it harder too by turning off EXP Share, and changing battle style to SET. I also decided Froakie and Charmander don't get to evolve until 4 badges, and won't get to evolve again until 8.
Pretty difficult so far, but I probably shouldn't have fucked around with pokemon amie, too much exp boosting.
