They also mentioned that Oshawott was the most difficult B/W starter to conceptually design compared with the other two. So they decided to blend an otter with a sea lion after sightseeing some sea lions during an aquarium trip. It does kinda make sense since they are both underwater mammals after all and sea lions are aggressive and territorial compared to otters.

Im kind of glad the result isn't as drastic compared to random shit like Octillery. Samurott still retains allot of features from it's pre evo's despite being structurally different. And shells into swords are one of the most badass transitions of an evolutionary line ever.

I don't know what it is, but since I got back into Pokemon after stopping on RSE, all the staters and their evolutions have grown on me.

Samurott haters are just cancer. If it was bipedal absolutely no one would complain since would only pander to anthrofags. Outside of it's main stance Samurott looks like a fully mature Dewott that continues to remove it's vest ,enhances it's weapons, and gains armor. It baffles me that people can be this blind and not see the positives.

I'll be honest, I didn't like Samurott because its arms looked more like flippers in the artwork and in sprites, which would be awkward for a pokemon that is suppose to swing around a sword. The posture it has in its Gen 6 model turned my opinion around though.

I hope Gen VII doesn't have any Fighting-types at all for its starters. I'm so fucking sick of it. I have a casual friend who thinks Fighting-type starters should be mandatory for every Gen because he's a huge Fightingfag and he argues

Grass/Fighting isn't nearly as bad as Fire/Fighting but it's still four in a row and I'm sick of it.

Vestigial limbs. It's capable of moving those tiny limbs, but they don't serve any purpose.
