Hey how's the visibility on that thing?
Someone sent me a copy of yellow, and an original GBA, but I can't see shit.
I was wondering if it looked any better on a brick gameboy, or if I should just hunt for cheap GBA SPs.

it's impossible to backlight a gba or gbc they have a different type of screen that the old brick Gameboys

I've installed several myself
search ags-001 screen

Fuck that mess, I'll just continue hunting for an SP. Probably cheaper to just do that instead of trying to track down a reasonably priced brick, AND a front light attachment. Not to mention batteries.

Someone related I suppose. Is there a way to put a battery from a gen 1 game into a gen 2 game and fix the save glitch permanently? I dearly miss being able to play my Crystal. Emulation isn't the same.

Even when it was launched, the GBA was pretty infamous being being really hard to see.

And for what it's worth, even back in the day more people tended to have Gameboy Pockets than the original brick (I'm still kind of baffled by the fact that the old model is almost always associated with Pokemon). It was just a much better system in every way.

My memory is still fuzzy on how well you could see though.

I still think it'd just be best to hunt down a GBA SP so I could have backlight, and a charger. Not to mention I do still have Fire Red, Sapphire, and some other GBA games.
