>pretty much the worst 'rivals' outside of XY, both May and Brendan are completely useless after that one battle under Cycling Road and Wally is barely relevant even in OR/AS.
>the plot hardly makes any real sense in Ruby compared to Sapphire, why the fuck would Magma have a base in an offshore cave and why would Groudon be in a fucking underwater cave when they're all about the land and shit? Thank god Emerald fixed this.
>the Battle Frontier is basically the same shit over and over with different (and in the case of the Palace, incredibly shitty) gimmicks, plus the shitty breeding and battle mechanics make it a crapshoot amongst crapshoots.
>the remakes are only good when they could have been amazing like HG/SS.
