>>22902702They're just the ones that pass my metrics. I care more about how they work in battle than what they look like, so starting with that:
>didn't need itGarchomp, Mewtwo, Tyranitar, Lucario, Blaziken, Gengar, Scizor, Sableye, Rayquaza, Gyarados, Heracross, Alakazam, Slowbro, Salamence, Lati@s
>still too underpoweredBlastoise, Camerupt, Sharpedo, Pidgeot, Sceptile, Banette, Audino, Absol, Medicham (at least now), Aggron, Beedrill, Steelix, Glalie, Ampharos, Abomasnow
>rely on abilities that are too strong IMOCharizard, Pinsir, Altaria, Gardevoir, Mawile, Metagross, Aerodactyl, Kangaskhan
The ones that pass these metrics are, again, Venusaur, Houndoom, Manectric, Swampert, Lopunny, and Gallade
Venusaur's mega just extends the design and doesn't add anything new or interesting. Same with Manectric and Houndoom. I guess Gallade gets a neat cape so it can also count.
So final list of well designed megas in my own opinon:
Lopunny, Swampert, and Gallade.
But you're right, Lopunny is furbait, Swampert is barabait, and Gallade came in and ruined the viability of an existing mega which is rather rude. So I guess there's really no well-designed mega, unless you go purely by aesthetics (which I don't).
