>>22911847While it's great to have the original high-poly meshes around to reuse for the next several games, there's no sense in using them as-is when optimization can be automated in most cases. Most game developers produce meshes with a polycount in the millions and reduce them for the hardware they're targeting, I don't see why PCL and GameFreak couldn't have done the same - or if they did, why they couldn't have optimized them further.
