That being said, it is true that the American definition of shirt seems to encompass most upper-body garments (potentially including a vest), whereas our British term shirt refers more to the specific styles of button shirt like OP is wearing.
Considering the localization of the game is doneby Americans, the name "shirt and tie" for this is making a lot more sense.
