So I am finally going to get to do a full playthrough on pic related. What am I in for /vp/? Please keep some things in mind. I do not care about "competitiveness" or "dated" since I simply want to play through this game for the first to experience it. I love the first gen games and don't care about any trolls saying I have nostalgia goggles. Was Yellow version a great third addition to the gen? It follows a lot of the anime doesn't it? Any pokemon you recommend I try out for the team?

I mostly have an idea of what team I want to go with. I also am going to keep Pikachu since it would be kind of dumb not to keep it since it's such a big part of the game. One pokemon I'm thinking of putting in the team for sure is Mr. Mime if I can actually get him.
