I know I only post anonymously in here now because you guys shit yourselves in anger over the most retarded shit.

Injections have been out for over a fucking month. I already injected 6iv females of every balltism combo I will ever need. I've then bred out multiple natural pentas and trained them like normal. The injections take 15 minutes to learn and about 1 hour to make a full fucking box of absolutely indistinguishable from natural mons. I never have to grind for BP now since I have about 20 of every item I need. I can fix all my imperfect shinies and actually use my bros competitively.

But if I ever mention that with my name attached, some autist will spaz the fuck out and link to the archive of that post every time I post in here ever again.

No, I do it as a way to bypass any detection method gamefreak may come up with. I dont know exactly how the injection works, but I do know it passes the current hack checks. By hatching a new one in game, it removes any chance of having my bros getting disqualified if I play in a tournie.

I hatched about 4000 eggs in Y, so it's really not that much of a bother to me.

I hack because it's 100x easier than breeding right now. I re-breed in case I fucked up somehow in editing the file. I wouldn't want to find out at a VGC event that they've found a better way to detect hacks with a new patch, etc.

If you are looking to make a nice competitive mon with balltism and all, I highly recommend just injecting a 6iv female with the egg moves you want then breeding it out as normal. Cuts down so much time

Early XY was fun because there was no way to cheat or exploit.
Then the retarded time machine thing and instacheck became a thing and everything went downhill from that point onwards.
Also, I'm using breeding to kill time, so there's no point in accelerating the process.

That sounds dangerously close to the "If you can't tell it's genned, it's legit" argument.

Since Gen 4, I've used a Modest 252 HP/128 defenses Dual Screens Meganium with Giga and Aromatherapy, and it's only hindering what I could do as far as tanking hits.

Those calcs look very good, but that'll be a last-resort method if I have nothing to check those mentioned threats, aka foddering Meganium, since I wouldn't want it to take any kind of STAB hits unless otherwise.

As far as Hidden Power breeding, unfortunately, I won't be doing that for Meganium, as it'll be what Gamefreak "intended" for it to be: a support mon. I also want to incorporate a Doubles set utilizing its HA somehow.

there's a reason why meganium is not OU material, its just not good enough

no matter how much we love it ;-;
one day
one day it will get a beautiful grass/fairy mega that is gonna be the bulkiers of bulks clerics and it will shine on all vgc teams

and its HA is bad
under sun it dies too easily for fire, even max defenses
with it carrying aromatherapy and being immune to spores its almost silly to try and block status through ability now
with overgrow at least you can do a panic boosted giga drain

It really is a shame. I know it's a shitmon, but it can take some hits well, even without screens support, but you already know that. I agree with the "Thick Fat" ability you mentioned before, and it feels bad being a Johtoddler where a couple of Pokemon in that generation have shitty HA or Mega Abilities.

I guess that it can use a stall set with its HA, but I don't fuck with stall, so what I'll do is breed a Calm HAF and a Calm non-HAF and EV the latter later.

Sun is bad for non-offensive grass types.
Chlorophyll and Solar Power are risky as they exaggerate the fire weakness - but the offensive payoff is mostly worth it. 100% Harvest is pretty good too, but status immunity... not so much.

Breederfag here. Got AS recently, and couldn't help but to wonder if anything changed with the breeding system. Particularly with hidden abilities. I heard somewhere it's a 60% chance for the child to have it's mother's hidden ability. Can anyone expand on this?

From experience, I'm not overly convinced with the % figures.

To get offspring with HA from two non-ditto parents you need a HA female which gives a HA offspring more often than not (80% is the figure that's commonly quoted)

However it becomes kind of blurry when breeding with ditto. 60% is quoted for female/ditto, while 20% has been quoted for male/ditto, but in my experience it's more or less random to the point where I'm actually convinced the offspring each individual pokemon gives on breeding with ditto is written into the pokemon's coding (probably via the PID) and isn't gender related.

For example, I was breeding 4EM arons and wanted rock head, and I hatched over 30 of them on breeding a HA male (expecting more variation) with a ditto, and got no rock head (got ~50/50 heavy metal/sturdy). Once I switched the parent to a different aron I started getting a more even spread of HA/RH/sturdy. I doubt it was bad luck as I kept breeding arons for wonder trade and the spread for the remained roughly the same.

The same thing has happened on breeding gothoritas and riolus.

It's perfectly possible to breed 10 boxes of Tyrunts and only get three females out of them, two of them missing HA.

For HA you'd be best off using a female with HA and a male of either the same species or a different one.

My usual way involves breeding the egg moves onto a HA female (using progressively more IV'd parents if I have them) then using a 6IV ditto to get the IVs, almost always with a HA parent (because they give a mixture of all abilities and the HA offspring can be useful).

The time difference isn't huge vs breeding using a high IV male, but as I say I've had some breeds where my best IV'd parent on breeding with ditto doesn't give the desired ability and certainly doesn't give a 60% HA spread.

Worth noting as well that I always use HA parents just in case I decide to change abilities, plus they're useful for trading. If I want HA I breed female with ditto/father, if I want non-HA I usually breed male.

Suppose the bottom line of what I was saying earlier is that the 60% probability (or 20% for male) isn't reliable and has rarely given a spread anything like it. In my experience I often need to switch the parents to get a higher output of the desired ability (whether it be hidden or otherwise). 60% may well be the programmed output, but in practice I'm calling bullshit on it.
