From a casual standpoint, this thing is some kid's favorite pokemon, and it's a Fucking beast to use. He's fun. He wrecks everything and takes shit from no one. From the perspective of a child or a casual, that's all you need him to be.
Now on a technical standpoint, which is where the competitive scene lies, more broken than that mirror you just looked into. And GF doesn't do much about it, because competitive balance is secondary to fun for all. Not everyone plays competitive, nor knows enough about it to care.
Remember back in gen one when you just battled with your favorites? you didn't really care about weak, strong, or broken. you just wanted to see your pokes kick your friend's ass. well...that's what today's kids are doing. They don't care about stats, or using the most optimal of sets. they just wanna see there favorite do good.
