>>22931740>Emboar6/10 monster design. I really want to like this one, but I still baffled that Gamefreak made three fire/fighting starters in a row. Despite this it is my personal favorite of the 5th gen starters and fire type starter, though that is not saying much as none of them really appealed to me at all. The fire beard is cool. I appreciate that you can easily make a full team of Pokemon with facial hair in Black/White before beating the elite 4.
>Vanilluxe 8/10 monster design. I will never understand the vast hatred for this Pokemon. Yes, it looks like an icecream cone, but when it comes down to it, it is clearly an icicle monster that is just cleverly designed to resemble an icecream cone. Even if it was made of icecream, I don't see the problem. They are called Pocket Monsters. I don't see any reason why a monster can not be made of icecream. With that said, I do feel like there should have been more changes through out the evolution stages, or it should have been a one or two stage Pokemon.
>Sawk and Throh6/10 monster designs. I'm not gonna lie. They look like muppets. I don't really have much to say. I kind of wish they would explain where they get there clothes from, as with Jynx, Hitmonchan, and others. Perhaps in a later game, there could be a mechanic where the are found in the wild wearing clothing made the objects from their surroundings and then you can choose to buy man-made clothes for them later.
>Kling, Klang, and Klinklang7/10 monster design, 3/10 design in general. One of the few Pokemon I actually dislike. I like the idea of a gear monster that evolves by adding more gears to its body, but Klinklang just does not do it for me. It would feel more complete if it actually ended up becoming something like a robot instead of some generic contraption. I would be okay with it if any of their forms were just a standalone Pokemon, otherwise, it is just a disappointment.
