Because it's needless to say that PokéJungle and PokemonDB are obsolete and forgotten, Bulbapedia is browsed at best for fast Pokémon statistic and in general has unreliable and slow information and updates, Smogon is useless when it comes in Pokémon info outside of their own selfmade competitive meta and the rest of the forums are basically dead. Serebii is pretty much the answer to most of your needs since at least a decade.

Honestly the only good sites left are Serebii and Pokebeach. Pokebeach is the most fun of the bunch but if you want anything about the games Serebii is really your only bet. Bulbapedia is pretty much shit slow so there's not much need to visit it for everyday info.

Pokebeach was good around the time BW came out for unconfirmed leaks and such. Around both XY and ORAS they have been much more hesitant to post unconfirmed shit and is just an inferior Serebii with more emphasis on community shit that few care about.

I think they still do decent game coverage for general fans. I visit other places first but I'll still read Pokebeach for game news between game releases. They mainly specialize in the cards so that's what they're best at. They're better at card coverage than anyone is at game coverage, to put it in perspective. I go to pre-release events sometimes and all anyone talks about is Pokebeach. The website is heavily engrained into the card community.

Yeah, I don't think Pokebeach can really be counted out. I've had them bookmarked since DPPt and I think they do a great job of covering news. They always have something insightful to say too. I remember one time WPM posted a story about Gen Vi being on the horizon. No one really was talking about it at the time, but he raised the flag and posted all this great evidence going over past patterns and shit. I read Serebii but I think Pokebeach also has its own value/uses too. I also like that Pokebeach doesn't post every little piece of game shit just to have something new up.

Individual cards to TCG players are like episodes of the anime to anime fans. One card can change the whole metagame and have an impact that lasts years. Pokebeach does TCG news right which is why they have always been #1.

I unbookmarked Pokebeach probably a year ago, the ORAS coverage was just too slow, it's like he's stopped caring. I'll probably go back leading up to the new gen though, WPM has a knack of getting a hand on all those rumors.

Do you guys mean post-game coverage? Because yeah, Pokebeach has never really done that. But their news leading up to ORAS was just as good as anyone else's I thought. Pokebeach also posted all the Hoopa/Volcanion/Diancie stuff that no one else bothered to touch because they were afraid of Nintendo. They had the story on "Mega Hoopa" up first too.
