Well it is part dark type. And until mewtwo comes,if he/she/it is even considered a villain,then greninja is as close as it gets for pokemon in smash

Okay... Anyway, I can see Greninja being ama morally dubious or anti hero character however the lack of cutscenes makes it vague. Not all Greninja are bad so why would think one be bad?

SSB takes a lot of influence from the anime. Misty's trophy uses her anime outfit, the Pokemon use anime voices into of Origins, Stadium, or BW2/ORAS trailer style voices, Oak's trophy is anime styled, and trophy descriptions reference the anime. Greninja is probably evil because of the anime

Dream Land/Spring Breeze/Revenge of the King were the only main games where he was really a bad guy, and that was basically just him being a gluttoness asshole. Every other game he's either being used as a puppet, working together with Kirby, or doing bad to stop a greater villain.

In Melee, Mewtwo was in the final event alongside Gigabowser and Ganondorf. Granted, he actually sort of was a villain in the original Red and Blue.

He was a dick to Mario even before his first appearance. He hired an ayy lmao to kidnap a princess in some bumfuck nowhere kingdom so he could steal Mario's castle without getting noticed. He then had Mario go on a goose chase for 7 special coins in order to unlock the door to now Wario's castle and beat the shit out of him. Do you not remember the game Mario & Wario either? Hell that game was made by Gamefreak before Pokemon was a thing.

I'm willing to bet Mewtwo will get its original voice actor from the first movie. He's still alive. NOA seemed to be hell bent on getting as close to the original voice actor/actress as possible. Lucario in Smash 4 is Goku/his movie voice instead of that random TPCi actor. All the Koopalings don't use that disgusting gurgling from Mario Kart 8 and Rosalina is her second voice actress instead of that overly cheery one from 3D World. Well they also got the original Fox and Falco too but those turned out eh. I know Charizard was done by the same person in Brawl but for some reason it sounds much more like in the anime in Smash 4. I like it alot. I'd still rather have Kenny James as Bowser and that Japanese guy that did Ganondorf in Ocarina of Time as DK.

Dark Pit isn't evil. He's just all of Pit's repressed traits amplified. He still has Pit's sense of justice. He would have been evil if Pit didn't break the mirror that was cloning him. Pit's just too busy getting pussywhipped by everyone else to be the edgelord he dreams of being.
