The funny thing is that gen 1 needed a plain rock type. It didn't get one when it was so obvious that the geodude line was suppose to be it. Why can't gamefreak into logic?

I'm pretty sure Geodude was not meant to be a levitating rock and that the only reason it levitates now it's because of the anime.

Just looks at its pokedex entries, a lot of them talk about people mistaking with a regular rock. No one would mistake a levitating rock with a regular rock-
