Lower sample size always means tighter usage stats, buddy. The main VGC metagame is on the in-game ladder where things are a lot more varied than that.

If you actually played VGC ladder, you'd know that garchomp, wash rotom, talonflame, tyranitar, and meowstic are nowhere near top 10. that looks almost identical to 2014, bar amoongus (was amoongus in 2014?).

Alomomola, Quagsire, Sylveon and Manectric are current OU that are below that this month.
Serperior got 3.7% for the second month in a row, and so might be OU next tiershift it it keeps that up.

Honestly it's not even *that* good anymore, but it's so easy to slap onto any team and use it anyway. I'm pretty sure Bisharp is the only thing keeping Mence and Megagross from being everywhere.
