So /vp/ it would seem that Smogon is in the midst of an ORAS mega exodus. With Mega-Mence comfortably balancing ubers and Megagross soon to be on its way out of OU, it begs the question "what's next to be suspected?"

Will mega-diancie be a problem now? Is mega-sableye (el stall savior) noncompetitive or are all of them fine in OU?

With Megagross gone, fairies are losing their biggest, most consistent check (and counter to many). Mega Diancie may be a problem now, but I'm more interested in Mega Altaria. Although Altaria could beat Gross at +1 with damage already done to it, Gross was still keeping Altaria down. Altaria might be even better now, though it will probably run the same sets as it has been.

This is the first oras team I've made. I've been stealing teams up to this point. I'm not really sure where to go this team. Talonflame and Raikou were sort of tacked on at the end, but WoW/SD Talon is working out really well, and Raikou is a good pivot. I would like better EVs for Megados, though.

You've got lava plume on heatran twice. If you're running that kind of speed probably run taunt tbh.

Probably don't need rocks on tran and ferro.

Team just looks like random pokemon picked and thrown together. I would probably rebuild something that isn't so weak to scarf lando-t or bulky offense in general.

Talonflame, Charizard Y, Mega Venusaur, Air Balloon Heatran are all counters. Mega Altaria will definitely be amazing post-MegaGross (assuming Gross is banned. Hopefully it is banned), but I think Diancie will become unstoppable. Honestly, it has no counters and no real checks. If it's the all-out attacker set, it's fucking unstoppable cos it can carry HP Fire. It's offensive yet it walls completely offensive things like Talonflame.

why is the "fairies lose a check with mmeta" argument even a thing, that doesn't make it any less broken, if certain mons end up broken after the potential ban they will just get suspected next, in the case of m diancie quite likely, other fairies aren't really a problem at all. I just with people wouldn't argue with trivial shit like "muh rock paper scizors matchup wars go into one direction all the time now", when that concept by itself makes a terrible meta. Why do people want to save that so desperately?

Yeah, it wasn't bait, I'm just retarded. The team deleted itself so I had to throw it back together to post it, and I didn't proofread. Tran was supposed to be taunt/toxic in the last two slots.
To be honest, this team was thrown together, and it does have trouble with bulky offense. Thanks, I'll probably scrap it altogether.

Besides msableye is best used on hazard stacking balance.

I don't get how fairies run OU without Gross. Metagross is not the only fairy-check in OU, and it's not even the best one. I was personally just steamrolling all those Diancie+Zone cores with Sand Rush Excadrill.

M-Sableye is overrated. Now that the meta has adapted, you have so many things that can break it (Zards, Talonflame, fairies, even Serperior if you feel like a few keks, etc.). Even looks like it will be dropping from S-rank.

I want to see Lando-I suspected next. It is utter horseshit and an easy win button just like in BW.

Apart from trapping skarm and ferro magdrag doesn't really have much appeal. It's a wasted moveslot whenever I see magnezone on a lot of teams imo .
