As far as megas go, the designs for Pinsir, Aerodactyl, Heracross, Houndom, Mawile, Manectric, Absol, Abomasnow, Sableye, Glalie, and Audino could work just fine as regular evos. Stats would be changed up and ability would of course be different. After you give those pokemon a permanent evo , THEN you give them a mega. Megas are fine for starters and other second and third-staged evos but not one-staged evos.
