how viable is sticky web If i have galvantula with focus sash to set it up who do i switch into

I would also like to use mega venasaur as a tank

Sticky Web suicide leads are fucking awful to deal with if you don't have a rapid spin/defogger.

Make sure the Galvantula had Compound Eyes if you wanna get a good thunder off before dying. That is, if they actually do damage at all.

mega heracross and gardevoir get a lot better with the webs up. Dragon Dance Tyranitar kills and outspeeds most threats that lack mach punch.

Have ghost type to block rapid spins and bisharp to switch in and get a defiant boost when you think your opponent is going to defog. Now have something to laugh in conkeldur's face when it tries for mach punch and you're set.

If you're going for UU, you can use Chandelure instead of Gengar, and run a different big slow mega guy, like Blastoise.

If you want a sticky web team then you want a spin blocker, and a defiant/competitive user to punish defog attempts. Also you're going to have to deal with shit like bisharp getting a +2 everytime it comes in, so keep them hard counters close

Good Bisharp counters are Conkeldurr and Terrakion. They can both take a pumped up sucker punch, and Terrakion even gets stronger from it. Also, they OHKO with their fighting moves, especially conk's mach punch.

Galvantula is outclassed by Shuckle thought. Shuckle will always survive a hit, has Stealth Rocks, isn't forced to run a Sash thus it can afford running Mental Herb and it is almost impossible to set up on thanks to encore. It is passive as hell, but the better Sticky Web lead. It is currently C+ in smogons viability ranking, while galvantula is E

Sticky Web is amazing for something with small distribution that pretty much any team could use as long as the foe doesn't have a Contrary or Defiant / Competitive Pokemon.

Web support can turn pokemon like Krookodile or Chandelure into something even more scary with the speed decrease since you don't have to run choice scarf on them as long as your opponent isn't able to remove it from the field.

Volt Switch is a must on Galvantula though. I run one with Swarm + T-Wave and Bug Buzz as well to take advantage of the focus sash, but Compound Eyes + Thunder or other low-accuracy moves are a great option too.
