Inkay's evolution method into "Malimar" was one of the things leaked by the Pokebeach leak way before the games came out. At the time many people didn't believe it since it just sounded too absurd. But when Inkay and Malamar were officially revealed it made sense given the context, and it worked when people tried it out in their games much later.
