>>22961819Hello people! Now, not many people know how to block the 3DS from getting system updates. I can show you how :P. First, go to OpenDNS website and register a new account. On your mobile or PC.
https://www.opendns.com/[1]
After registering, you want to add a network and use the IP that is given because that's your IP.
https://dashboard.opendns.com/settings/[2]
Next, click on your IP address number. This will lead you to the Web Content Filtering page. Make sure to choose None for the filtering level. Scroll down and you'll see "Manage Individual Domains." There will be a box for you to fill in the website links that you want to block. You want to block these websites.
nus.c.shop.nintendowifi.net |
nus.cdn.c.shop.nintendowifi.net |
nus.cdn.wup.shop.nintendo.net |
c.shop.nintendowifi.net |
nus.wup.shop.nintendo.net |
nus.cdn.shop.wii.comIf it asks "Block entire content delivery category?" Just choose No/Domain Only. After adding all the websites listed above, refresh the page to make sure it is saved. After refreshing, go on your 3DS and follow these steps.
1) Go to System Settings > Internet Settings > Connection Settings > Connection (Choose the connection you are always connected to.) > Change Settings > DNS > Auto-Obtain NO (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT) > Detailed Setup.
2) After choosing "Detailed Setup", Set Primary DNS to 208.67.222.222 and Secondary DNS to 208.67.220.220.
Make sure to save the settings and you are done!
Now, to test if this worked or not.. Go back to Nintendo 3DS Homescreen and open the "Nintendo eShop" Application. If it worked, it will give you an error. If it didn't, eShop would open normally.
THIS METHOD IS NOT DISCOVERED BY ME AND I TAKE NO CREDITS FOR IT, I AM SIMPLY SHARING THIS METHOD FOR TUTORIAL PURPOSES.
Thank you for your time! :)
