Well it's gonna have to be resisted by Bug, Ice, and maybe Grass. Those are the ones is desperate need of a buff. Bugs did not deserve that Fairy resistance, and those pink faggots have made Ice obsolete, while Grass' offensive presence is basically just for Rotom Wash.

I think they need another "species" type like Fairy, Dragon, and Bug so it will be easier to bullshit its strengths and weaknesses.

Weak to Ice, Psychic, Poison, Bug

Snorlax, Mighyena, Mankey, Primeape, Ursaring, Loudred, Exploud, and others could fit this type.

I'd suggest sound type, but it would be strong against Ice (echoes able to cause Avalanches and essentially break snow and ice or at least move them enough to start bad reactions) and Ice really doesn't need that right now.

Really, i think the current type lineup needs changes. Psychic, Bug, Ice, and Poison could really use some drastic shit. Poison may have gotten new life from its strength against Fairy, but that's more of a luck of the draw, they are still just as underwhelming against the other types

BUT, if Fairy were to not have dat lunar flavor, I'd really like this:

Fairy is broke as all hell given the things that made OU solely for being fairies, just wait until it gets a pseudo or something. Dragon moves are fucking shit without STAB too even before fairy, so I don't know why you'd bother to bring that up. Hell, fairy moves without STAB are far more useful than dragon moves without STAB.

How to fix the Ice type

Weak to:
Steel(no one uses steel for coverage)
Rock(only worry about Stone Edge)
Fire(this weakness is too logical to remove)

Resists:
Ice
Grass(why not?)
Ground(ice covered the entire planet once before and this trolls EQ users)

SE on Water, Steel
NE on Rock, Grass, Psychic

Weak to Grass, Psychic
Resist Fairy, Water, Dark

Let's say Sound is better on water and steel because of resonance and shit, rock resists it to give it more reliability than steel, psychic don't care about sound because of concentration and grass because why not.

I think this would kinda balance the whole type chart.
